Electric Power from Speed Breaker


The main objective of this project is to generate the electric power from speed breaker. This project is easy to use and it works very efficiently. Gear and wheel setup, Coil, permanent magnet and Suspension unit are the main parts in this project.

In this project, the suspension unit is connected at the place of speed breaker. It is the alternative arrangement of speed breaker. When a vehicle crosses the speed breaker, the suspension unit gets vibrated up and down. This vibration makes a rod to move up and down. This rod with gear setup is connected with a flywheel. The coil in the generator will rotate along with the flywheel. The driven gear is connected with a generator. Here, we adjusted the gear set up. So that, when one vibration occurs the coil will rotate 50 times.

According to Faraday’s law, “As long as there is a change in magnetic flux linked with the coil, an EMF is induced.” So, electricity is generated in each and every rotation. Hence, there is an alternate flow of electricity. This project is very economical and best project because it doesn’t require fuel.
