The main aim of the VI Based Diesel Plant Automation project is to measure the requirements of the diesel plant operation like engine conditions, fuel level, air circulation, temperature etc. The engine will start from the front panel operations and enables the power supply after checking these conditions. The measurements are taken in the output for Power factor, Voltage, Power and Current. By using virtual instrumentation concept and Lab VIEW software, this monitoring and control is designed.
With the help of PCI – 6024 E DAQ card, the virtual panel of this automated system will check the input and output conditions. The conversion and amplification over the measured are provided by this PCI – 6024 E DAQ card.
The Lab VIEW software is used to develop the virtual instruments. These instruments give the functional compatibility with real time instruments. By using Data Acquisition Cards, we can acquire the signal for real time interface. Virtual Interface (VI) generates the analysis and control signals. We can access this software by using the Network & TCP/IP with online reports, internet. We can detect the functional work of MATLAB, SCADA and PLC by using this software. This software will work based on the processor specifications of the computer, therefore it has high speed and storage capacity.
