The main aim of this project is to send the SMS indication to the train, when the workers are working on the railway track or when the railway track is damaged.
The main components of Railway Security Monitoring System are given below:
• Vibration sensor
• RS 232
• Data cable with mobile
In this project, we placed the vibration sensor on the railway track. The vibration sensor is fabricated with peizo electric plate. It will convert the mechanical vibration in to the electrical signal. The vibration sensor output is transferred to the amplifier. The amplifier will amplify that electrical signal. Later, the amplified signal is transferred to the microcontroller. In this project, we have one transmitter and receiver both are connected with cables. They are closely attached with the railway track.
If the railway track is cut, then this cable will also cut. In real time, we have transmitter, receiver and the vibration sensor in track for every 200 meters. By using amplifiers, we can extend this distance. When the train comes on the track, the vibration sensor will detect the vibration of train and it will send a low pulse to the microcontroller.
If the microcontroller detects a low pulse from sensor, then it will send a checking data to the receiver from the transmitter. If the receiver receives the signal without loss, the receiver transfers a high pulse to the microcontroller. Then the micro controller will identify the railway track is in good condition. If the receiver didn’t receive the signal, the micro controller will send a warning SMS to the receiver mobile in the train through the transmitter mobile. The microcontroller is interfaced with transmitter mobile. The RS232 is used for communication between the microcontroller and mobile. In this way, we can avoid the train accidents. If the workers are going to work on the railway track, they will press one key. That key is interfaced with the microcontroller. Then the microcontroller will send an alert SMS to the receiver mobile, which is placed in the train.

- Also it avoids the train accident caused due to track damage.
