Online Help Desk

Online Help DeskThe main aim of this project is to develop an Online Help Desk (OHD) for the facilities in the college campus. We can access this system throughout the college campus. By using this system, we can automate the workflow of service requests for the various facilities in the campus of college. This system is an internet based application and it will cover various kinds of facilities like class-rooms, labs, canteen, mess, hostels, faculty club, computer center, library, gymnasium etc.


The main features of this system are given below:

  • Generating the reports
  • Addition of a new facility to the system
  • E-mail notifications or reminders

Registered users (students, faculty, lab-assistants and others) can make a request for service of any supported facilities.  These requests will be sent to the concerned people, who are also valid users of the system. The concerned people will solve the requests.

Operating System: Windows 2000/XP or higher

Front End: PHP

Back End: Apache HTTP server 2.2, MySQL

Hardware Requirements:

Processor: Pentium Processor IV or higher

RAM: Minimum 1 GB RAM

Hard Disk: 60 GB Hard Disk or more

Mouse: Optical Mouse

Keyboard: 104 keys
