The main objective of the MapStorer system is to maintain UMN Map server-projects. By using this system, the users can create Map server configurations files (map files) on the fly and they can edit the map projects through a web browser.

The map file information and the administrative data are stored in the MySQL database server. By using PHP and JavaScript, the graphical user interface was entirely realized with DHTML. Map Storer is a database-driven system.
