Abstract

The main objective of this project is to develop a web-based system for managing the activities of Student Project Management and Online Testing. By using this system, the user can conduct the online test for students and can maintain a list of all student groups that have registered on this site. The Student Project Allocation and Management System makes short-list of students who have passed the eligibility criteria as set by the professors. Also, this system maintains the student database efficiently. It is very user-friendly and easy to use.

Image Compression and De-compression

In document management and transmission systems, the compression and decompression of continuous-tone images is very important. This paper explains an image representation scheme to the standard Discrete Cosine Transformation (DCT). Based on Gaussian derivatives, we are developing this scheme inside a Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) framework. By using this scheme, we can compress and decompress the continuous-tone images. This project is user-friendly and works very efficiently.

Low Cost Anti-Lock Braking and Traction Control

The main objective of this project is to develop a traction control system that detects the slipping of vehicle’s wheel and adjusts the velocity of the wheel accordingly. Nowadays, Robotic vehicles are becoming very complex and they require high levels of movement control. When the wheels of a vehicle begin to slip, this project will adjust the velocity of wheels. So that, the vehicle will move in the appropriate direction and reach its destination. Applications include remote controlled cars, vehicles traveling over rough terrain and exploratory robots.

DC Motor Controller Using PWM

The main objective of DC Motor Controller Using PWM project is to control the operation of a DC motor using Microcontroller PIC16F73. By using Pulse width modulation technique, this project controls the operation of a DC motor. This project is user-friendly and works very efficiently.

The main objective of Temperature Monitoring Project is to monitor the temperature reading of a device and maintain the temperature of a device by utilizing cooling fan. This system supports both Celsius and Fahrenheit and it works very efficiently.

Cordless Power Controller

Abstract

Cordless Power Controller is a remote control. By using a cordless telephone, we developed the Cordless Power Controller (CPC). By connecting CPC to the telephone line, we can control the fans, bulbs and other electronic appliances of our home using our cordless phone. Based on the conventional DOT standards, we developed CPC as a standalone device. Cordless Power Controller is easy to use and works very efficiently.
