It can make the daily activities to run efficiently and provide fast response to retrieve and store the information.  What if there is an application that can help in extracting the characters in the vehicle number plate? Yes, it is possible through the use of vehicle number plate extraction using OCR. Edge detection method is being used in order to achieve this task. In order to detect the characters in the vehicle number plate this application is being used. To this system an image of characters will be inputted. In order to detect the color of an image, image segmentation will be used.
