Students are the important part of the institution that matters. The attendance of the students is also as important. It is the factor that matters a lot to the people in their career. There are situations where students need to struggle if there is shortage of attendance. It might go the extreme level also. There have been technologies that have been introduced in order to reduce the work of the faculties. Even the pen paper method of taking attendance can be reduced. The android based self attendance system using OTP is an application that will allow the user to mark the attendance based on the OTP sent. This will help in managing the attendance of students of the institutions in a well organized way. This will be a unique project idea that one can work on.

There will be mainly three users in this system which includes admin, faculty and student. The admin can add faculties, students, class and subjects. The faculty can select the class and send the OTP to the particular student if present. The OTP will be valid only for 60 seconds. The student need to login to the application and enter the OTP sent. Through this way the attendance of a student is marked. The students will be able to see the previous attendance details with great ease. The user interface must be simple and easy to understand.
