Main objective of the Automatic Plant Irrigation System is to help the users in controlling the amount of water to a plant. When the water reaches highest level, the device will switch off the water pump automatically. When the water reaches lower level, it will switch on the water pump.
Microcontroller PIC16F73 and IC ULN2003 are the main parts of the circuit. We connected two sensors inside the plant and those sensors are used to send signal to the driver section. The percentage of water in the plant is displayed on the LCD display.
When the water level reaches the highest level in the tank, the plant sensor will send the signal to the driver section. Then the driver section will send the signal to the micro controller. The driver unit and the corresponding relay to switch off the motor are controlled by the micro controller.
When the water level reaches the lowest level in the tank, the plant sensor will send the signal to the driver section. Then the driver section will send the signal to the micro controller. The driver unit and the corresponding relay to switch on the motor are controlled by the micro controller.
In this system, the micro controller is used to control the operations. So, all operations are very sensitive. We can write the micro controller program in the assembly language.
