Touch Screen GLCD based Digital Devices Control System

The main objective of the proposed project is to develop a Graphical LCD Touch Screen interface for switching the electrical devices. The controlled devices can be of either low voltage or high voltage. The program running inside the microcontroller develops a control board and virtual on screen keypad. We can view the status of devices on the Graphical LCD (GLCD) and LED indicators or mechanical push buttons are not required.

With a gentle finger touch, users can control the electrical devices. They can control the electrical appliances like Television using password protection method. By using this project, the parents can restrict their children’s access to the specific devices. Also, we can avoid the unauthorized access to our electrical appliances.

This project contains the following building blocks:

  • Electrical devices to be controlled.
  • Graphical LCD with Touch Screen and Controller interface.
  • Microcontroller Mother Board with regulated power supply.
  • Electromagnetic Relay (controls 230V, 10 Amps loads).


The Touch screen sends input to the micro controller. The microcontroller processes the request. Then it processes the data and takes the required action. It updates the status of electrical device and displays the status on Graphical LCD.
